Abstract

Middle Jurassic brachiopods from two localities in the Lužnica area and one locality in the Vidlič area of eastern Serbia (Carpatho-Balkanides) have been studied. The following brachiopod species are identified, from Lužnica area: Acanthothyris inflata, A. elargata, Cymatorhynchia quadriplicata, Ptyctothyris deneyriazensis, and Tubithyris globata, from Vidlič area: Cymatorhynchia quadriplicata, and Acanthothyris spinosa. The paleobiogeographical distribution of studied genera are discussed. The geological profiles of investigated localities are shown.
