Abstract

The foundations for a new scientific discipline of applied ethics, termed geoethics, were laid in the early nineties. The article presents die subject of study, tasks and objectives of geoethics, with particular consideration of exploration and estimation of mineral resources. The article analyzes the relationship between the geoethics and "business ethics", commercial and national feasibility of investment in mineral extinction, application of respective methods and techniques used in economic-geological estimations at different levels of geological explorations.
