Abstract

This work describes organic-petrographic and palynologycal characters of Miocene sedimentary organic facies and palynofacies of Drmno (Kostolac) depression. Sediments of pre—Badenian ("red series" and Ottnangian-Karpatian), Badenian and Sarmatian have also been studied. Palynofacies are correlated with kerogen types from the mentioned stratigraphic units. Palaeoecological study of palynomorphs u used to identify types of vegetation and deduce the sedimentation environments.
