Abstract

The article summarises results of a stratigraphic research of the Upper Cretaceous sediments at the Andrići Village, Western Serbia. During these investigations, a new locality with Upper Cretaceous exposures was discovered. Several stratigraphic members of secondary order were separated. As these members were not described up to now, their lithological characteristics were presented. Field material from outcrops was collected, and detail stratigraphic columns were observed. By the compilation of the observed data, new facts about stratigraphic position of Cretaceous sediments were established. As a result local stratigraphic column of the wider Andrići Village area was contemplated. Paleofauna specimens described and presented in the paper pointed out Albian to Cenomanian age of the sediments.
